Eliorah Malifa - Film & Culture Advisor

Eliorah Malifa is co-Director of the Sydney based Pasifika Film Fest and current Director of Colourfest in Australia. She is also a PhD candidate in the College of Asia and the Pacific at the Australian National University, where her focus is on the creation of sustainable film and television industry in the Pacific. She holds a Master of Media Arts and Production from the University of Technology, Sydney; and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English Literature with a focus on the Pacific, from Victoria University of Wellington. Previously, Eliorah has worked in festival and arts production, coordinating the Australian delegation to the 11th Festival of Pacific Arts in Solomon Islands and assisting with the film section of the 12th Festival of Pacific Arts in Guam. Eliorah has managed remote music tours to the Australian outback and completed an internship with the United Nations Department of Public Information. She formerly served as Secretary of the Niu Oceania Cultural Centre. Eliorah currently works with different organizations and programs to promote diversity on Australian screens and is now the Australian representative for Pacific Islanders in Film and Television.
